  34.        Release 6.5 has the following performance problems:

  36.           +o The _s_m_t_p_i_n_g -_s command does not support packet data
  37.             sizes greater than 1385 bytes. Attempts to generate
  38.             packets with data between 1386 and 4436 bytes cause two
  39.             error messages:  Error building packet and Can't get
  40.             response from daemon. (The creation of ECHO packets
  41.             with data larger than 4436 bytes results in packets
  42.             that exceed the FDDI MTU, causing the message packet
  43.             size too large.)
